A Word for Peace

From childhood one is taught

The sense of right and wrong;

Morals, principles, values, standards,

The list goes on and on.

Where remains innocence,

The clarity in the eyes of a child

That knows not of creed or ethics,

With a heart undefiled?

In non-judgemental attitude,

Where sensitivity exceeds conscience,

In mindfulness and Love,

Sentience renders cognizance.

If all our thoughts and actions

Spring from Love’s pure fountain,

Forgetting concept of good and evil,

Attaining Universal Peace is certain.
