THE FROG AND THE NIGHTINGALE

Why is it so difficult for a frog to sing

Like a nightingale in the dead of night?

Why is it so difficult for someone to go

Without traces of death through grasses?

Why is it so difficult for man to do

What his heart tells him as right and good?

Poor frog in muddy waters is hopefully waitin`

For the return of the princess – wished to be kissed.

Stop the cryin`, o Lord, please give that the frog can sing

Like a nightingale in the dead of night

To be alone and unbeloved is the frogs croaking “

But his means are to be an enchanted prince.

What would I be?!” the frog dreams in muddy waters

From that princess he wished to be kissed:

If she will give me just a piece of attention.

If she will just miss me… if she only will kiss me!!

I would build her a palace and lay the world to her feet.

But what am I? A frog – unbeloved and alone.

Poor frog in muddy waters is hopefully waitin`

For the return of the princess – wished to be kissed.

Stop the cryin`, o Lord, please give that the frog can sing

Like a nightingale in the dead of night
