True Value
We live a life on planet earth, – based
On ceaseless working, earning, gathering.
A graduate takes up a well paid job;
Monotonous routine is staggering.
To acquire, a house, a car, fancy dress,
Good food and comfort all around,
To party and holiday at wish and will,
Money we need in large amounts.
Thus we toil, as the years go by,
Amassing treasure and great wealth,
Proudly proclaiming our achievements,
While slowly, unnoticed, we lose our health.
Where then is true value worth attaining,
That can’t be bought with cash – nor found
In any store? It’s a heart full of Love.
The immense Truth most profound.
